Retreats:
Retreats are times when we disconnect from the world as we normally see it. We call a halt to rushing through the day and slow down to be fully present to the moment, to each and every moment. We do this through releasing the need to be in touch with the 21st century. By forgoing the need to be in constant communication with others, we have taken the first steps in settling into a deeper state of `be-ingness`. Retreats can last for an hour, a day, a weekend, a week or months and years for the truly called.
In retreat we are called to `Mindfulness`. To be fully present to whatever we may be doing at the time, It might mean focussing fully on preparing a meal, or really seeing a rosebud. Mindfulness, when applied to areas of challenge in our lives, offers a gentle grace-filled lens through which to see the larger picture. To place the situation in a greater context allowing for the best possible action to emerge.
I also offer “ A Day out of Time” retreat experience. In this I come to your home and create the retreat in your familiar surroundings – this helps you to embody the experience and maintain some of the aspects after the retreat ends. We use meditation, silence, readings, music, whole foods, drawings and many other mediums to help you reconnect with your inner life.
