Interfaith Ministry
Interfaith Ministers work with all faiths and those with none. It acknowledges the innate spiritually of all and offers ways to support growth and experience of the individual’s spiritual path. We do this through the more familiar means of services and ceremonies such as:
Weddings:
Interfaith Ministers create unique and deeply personalised wedding ceremonies reflecting the spiritual beliefs of the individuals and how their merged path will be. We explore what qualities will inform their future relationship and incorporate this within the ceremony to create a spiritually meaningful service that will anchor their commitment throughout life.
Taize Services:
Taize is an ecumenical community in France founded by Brother Roger after the second world war. His aim was to offer a sanctuary for all Christians to come together in prayer and worship. Over the years Taize became famous for its singing, as many short prayers were put to music which were then sung as part of the services. The power of these chants is to still the mind and open the heart leading naturally into a silence in which to meditate or pray. A Taize Services is held the first Sunday each month at Insh Village Church, near Kingussie at 6pm.
Funerals:
In response to many people having no particular religious conviction Interfaith ministers design funerals in keeping with the beliefs of the deceased and those who mourn their loss.
